ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTATION

Treatment-focused organizations are typically required to be in compliance with multiple sets of standards and regulatory criteria. I help organizations more effectively manage the initial and ongoing challenges of such compliance. I have over 14 years of experience as the Clinical Director of hospital-based and residential addiction treatment programs for adults and adolescents, and Vice-President of Counseling Services overseeing a broad spectrum of outpatient behavioral health programs.

My expertise includes program design, development, and implementation, performance evaluation and improvement, policy and procedure development, staff training, and developing and implementing systems for measuring client and program outcomes. Organizational consultation services include:

• Policies and procedures—creating, writing, and revising—to ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards

• Treatment/Service Planning—staff training to ensure continuity in case documentation between assessment, treatment plan, and progress notes, and creating measurable, achievable objectives

• Clinical program design and development—with unique experience in mindfulness practices and holistic non-opioid approaches to chronic pain.

• Systems for measuring, evaluating, and reporting client and program outcomes—development, staff training, and implementation

I have overseen and administered all aspects of several agencies’ successful applications for state licensure through the Arizona Dept. of Health Services/Office of Behavioral Health Licensure as an outpatient mental health provider. This included advisement on the program description, writing all behavioral health-specific agency policies & procedures, and modifying policies & procedures in related areas to ensure compliance with statutory mandates. I have also successfully stewarded the clinical operations of two organizations through the process of national accreditation and reaccreditation.
